Adolfo Villegas, age 64 of Evanston passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Evanston Hospital. Born September 6, 1956 in Santo Tomas, Gto, Mexico to the union of Jesus and Juana (Mendoza) Villegas. He immigrated to Chicago in 1973 in hopes of providing a better life for his family back home. He was a loving and caring soul that loved being a father more than anything in the world. He was a true sports fanatic but futbol "soccer" was his favorite pastime and was a HUGE fan of Las Aguilas del America. His love for soccer came second only to his love for family.
Beloved husband of Guillermina (Tamayo) of Evanston. Loving father of Adolfo Jr. (Jennifer Lee) of Aurora, Tania Villegas of Chicago and Isabella Villegas of Evanston. Devoted son of Juana Villegas of Skokie and the late Jesus Villegas in October of 1991. Dear brother of Jesus (Carlotta) Villegas of Evanston, Ruben (Rosalinda) Villegas of Evanston, Manuel (Agueda) Villegas of Wheeling, Miguel (Marina) Villegas of Santo Tomas, Mexico, Mario (Fabiola) Villegas of Evanston and the late Ramiro (Concepcion) Villegas of Chicago, Estella (Camilo) Tovar of Santo Tomas, Carmela Villegas of Skokie and Guadalupe (Hector) Sanchez of Skokie. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Visitation Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. until time of funeral service 1:00 P.M. at the Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood. Rev. Thomas Baldonieri, celebrant, pastor of St. Nicholas Church, Evanston. Interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.
