Aldo Tenuta, age 73 resident of Highland Park, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, February 27th, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 20th, 1948 in Marano Principato, Calabria region of southern Italy. Aldo's mother and father, Fortuna and Francisco, moved the family to Buenos Aires, Argentina for a brighter future for their family. Aldo remained in Argentina until 1971 when he came to the United States at the age of 23 in search of LOTS AND LOTS OF MONEY. However first he found love, and on December 16th, 1978 he married Maria Patricia Escobar and together they lived in Highland Park for nearly 44 years.
Aldo worked as a welder and for various construction companies, and ultimately founded Tenuta Landscape in 1979 where he led the charge until he retired in 2010. Aldo was a strong, proud man who put his family and friends whom he deeply loved before all else. Other loves in his life included cigarettes, gambling, beer, red meat, swearing, and --of course-- MONEY.
Beloved husband to his loving wife, Maria. Loving father to Alexander (Meagan) Tenuta of Lake Forest. Cherished Grandfather to Ferris Tenuta. Dear brother to Luigi (Gilda) Tenuta, Armando (Elvira) Tenuta, Mariano (Gemma) Tenuta, Amelia (late Gaetano) Tiano, Rosina (late Luis) Caldarola, and many nieces and nephews in Argentina and United States.
Aldo will be laid to rest near his late daughter, Natasha, at All Saints Cemetery Mausoleum.
