Anita Patricia Rieke passed so very peacefully on the morning of Friday, September 26, 2025. She was at home, held in all the love and light of God, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was born in Genoa City, Wisconsin to loving parents, Adam and Patria Scott. She married, raised her children, and built a life in Libertyville, Illinois, before moving to Austin, Texas, with her daughters. In time, she returned to Libertyville, where she spent her remaining years surrounded by family and countless dear friends.
She loved playing bridge and golf, and no one could beat her at a card game. She was stubborn and fierce, she was an inspiration and strength for so many. She was smart, independent and an investor in stocks and real estate, a passion she passed down to her kids and grandkids.
Beloved mother of Jack (Tracy) Rieke, Jeff Rieke, Scott (Kathy) Rieke, Jennifer (James) Johnson and Kimberly Rieke Scott. Cherished grandmother of Mark Rieke, Elissa Rieke, Danny (Jenna) Roark, Jack (Peyton) Rieke, Shawn (Erika) Rieke, Michael (Alex Yoor) Rieke, Kassandra Rieke, Taggart Rieke, Shannon (Justin Arion) Rieke and Cole Rieke. Proud great-grandmother of Madison Kingeter, Wyatt Roark, Lucy Roark, Amillia Rieke, Noah Howay, Kazpian Howay and Clare Rieke. She was preceded in death by her dear sister, Barbara White, and her brother, Frank Scott.
She will be so incredibly missed.
