Barbara Ann Lewis

Barbara Ann Lewis, age 67 of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 in Chicago surrounded by her loving family. She was born into this world on January 5, 1955 in Louisville, Kentucky the third of nine children born to the union of Louise Miller Lewis and Willie Edward Lewis. The Lewis family moved to the South Side of Chicago, IL. when Barbara was a young girl, She attended Donoghue Elementary School and went on to graduate from Chicago Vocational High School (CVS). 

Barbara spent 17 Years dedicated with The Cook County Police Department serving and protecting. She loved reading books and listening to Hip-hop music especially Tupac on a nice ride home.  Barbara was endearingly known as “Bob” to family and friends. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. She was a well-rounded woman strong, loving with a heart of gold. Barbara loved being Involved with her family especially with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always did anything to make them happy.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memory; her son Rahn Lewis; sister Cheryl Lewis; brothers John Lewis and James Lewis; grandchildren Tierra Lewis, Tatiana Lewis, Lennard James and Linda Blackburn; 6 great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, a son Shawn Lewis, sisters Debbie Lewis, Linda Lewis and Clara Lewis and a brother Charles Lewis.
