Bertha Martinez

Bertha Martinez, 73, of Round Lake Park, IL, passed away February 9, 2022 at the Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital, she was born January 30, 1949 in Totolapan, Morelos, Mexico, to  Gudelio Lievanos and Lucia Moss, and raised by Tomas Reyna and Elpidia Yañez.

Bertha is survived by her husband of 47 years Angelo Martinez of Round Lake Park, IL, her daughters; Mayra (Mauricio) Martinez of Round Lake Beach, IL, and Maribel (Oscar) Palacios of Fox Lake, IL, her grandchildren; Angel Eduardo Martinez of Round Lake Beach, IL, Steven Damian Palacios of Iowa City, IA, Natalie Felicity Palacios of Bloomington-Normal, IL, and Leslie Iliana Martinez of Round Lake Beach, IL, sister; Maria del Pilar Lopez of Mexico, and brothers; Estaban Moss of  Mexico, and the late Angel Lievanos, and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. She was known as a sweet, caring, and very joyful woman, always making people smile.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the Symonds Lakes 111 W. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030, a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church 114 N. Lincoln Ave. Round Lake, IL 60030, interment will be held private, for all additional information please contact the funeral home at 847-543-1080.
