Carol Marie Durra

Carol Marie Knox Durra, age 75, of Highland Park passed away on October 14, 2022. She was born November 27, 1946 to the union of her parents Robert Stanley Knox and Agnes Burgund and was raised in Northbrook, Illinois. She attended Glenbrook North High School, graduating class of 1964. She then attended Oakton Community College receiving her RN and worked as a nurse. She then furthered her education by attending Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelors of Arts. She went on to join the U.S. Navy Reserves as a Nurse Lieutenant O2,  then worked as a nurse for Dr. Muldoon in Evanston. Carol accepted Jesus Christ as her savior on February 24, 1977 and was baptized two days later at Northwest United Pentecostal Church. 

Beloved wife to the late Jack Aaron Durra. Loving mother to Deborah (Scott) Dean of Highland Park, IL, Jeanette Schwarzbach of Chicago, IL, and Timothy (Nathalie) Lone of Luxembourg. Dear grandmother to Bailey Dean, Paige Dean, Michael Schwarzbach, and Joseph Schwarzbach. Cherished sister to Barbara Knox of Wilmette, IL, and Robert (Rita) Knox of Rapid City SD. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will take place Friday, October 21, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Christ Church Highland Park, 1713 Green Bay Rd, Highland Park, IL 60035.
