Collin Wells Habenicht

Collin Wells Habenicht, age 34 passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 16, 2023. He was born on January 11, 1989 in Covington, Louisiana to the union of Joseph Gregory Habenicht and Laurel Elaine Hammett. He went to Newport Grammar school in Newport, Tennessee and graduated from Polk County High School, class of 2007 in Columbus, North Carolina. He was very fond of his job at 'Big Creek Expeditions' in Hartford, Tennessee where he excelled as a whitewater raft guide. He considered the best years of his life at the river and was proud to be a "river rat". He also loved disk golf, skateboarding, music, hiking, camping, and spending as much time as possible with friends and family. He was known to be a charming, handsome, hospitable, kind, selfless, and deeply empathetic person. His laugh was contagious; Collin had a unique way of being the entertainer. He made sure people around him were happy and laughing- often by utilizing goofy facial expressions and non-verbal cues distinctive of Collin’s personality. 

Beloved son to Joseph Gregory Habenicht and Laurel Elaine Hammett. Loving Brother of Kelton (Chelsea) Thompson, Melissa Habenicht, Joseph "JoJo" Habenicht, Will Habenicht, Peyton (Jack) Habenicht-Rieke. Dear uncle to Kain Thompson and Juniper Habenicht. Dear grandson to Suzanne and the late George Habenicht, and the late James and Carolyn Hammett. With many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and innumerable friends. 

Celebration of life will be held privately amongst family.
