David Wayne Davenport

David Wayne Davenport, 69, US Army Veteran of Round Lake Beach, and formally of Mundelein, IL passed away Friday, July 28, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family, he was born August 21, 1953 in Paris, TN, and was the oldest son of five born to Maudie Smith, he attended Mundelein High, and a few years after married his wife Kathy, where they raised a family until 1980 before moving to Round Lake Beach, David just celebrated his 40th year as a Mechanical Engineer at the MacLean-Fogg Company of Mundelein, IL,

David is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathy Davenport, nee; Wilson French, of Round Lake Beach, his three daughters; Shannan Davenport of Round Lake Beach, Tiffany (James) Shaver of McHenry, and Monica (Mark) Long of Spring Grove, grandchildren; Robert and Emmett Frisbie, Jillian and Jackson Shaver, and Max and Madi Long, his mother; Maudie Smith of Sardinia, OH, and his brothers; Dale (Vickie) Smith, Edward Smith, and Randy Smith, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, preceded in death by his father; John Davenport, his brother; Michael “Smitty” Smith, and his step father; William ”Billy” Smith.

Visitation will be held 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the Symonds Lakes Funeral Home 111 W. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030, Chapel Service 5:30 PM Rev. Lisle Kauffman, Officiating, Interment & Military Honors of cremains will be held Monday, August 7, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Avon Centre Cemetery, Grayslake, IL,  for additional information please contact the funeral home at 847-543-1080.
