Doreen J. (Flavin) Lagoni

Doreen J. Lagoni, 93, of Libertyville, IL passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023 at the Gurnee Place Assisted living, she was born June 21, 1929 in Chicago and was the youngest of four children born to the union of John and Lily Flavin, Doreen was a member of the Lake Villa VFW, an active member of the Lake County Seniors Group and the founder of Bear Magic, a charitable organization that would give Teddy Bears to children following tragic situations.

Doreen is survived by her son; Matthew Lagoni of Waukegan, and a few cousins, she is preceded in death by her parents; John and Lily Flavin, her sisters; Lila Holzworth, and Evelyn Flavin, and her brother; Charles Flavin.

Visitation will be held 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the Symonds Lakes Funeral Home 111 W. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030, Interment will be held private, for additional information and donations please contact the funeral home at 847-543-1080
