Edward Charles Erwin

Edward Charles Erwin, age 65 of Lindenhurst, Illinois passed away on September 30th, 2023 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Illinois. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 14, 1957 to the union of John and Patricia (Tanguay) Erwin. 

Ed was a graduate of Willowbrook High School, Villa Park. He attended SIU where he met the love of his life, Terry. Edward and Terry married on January 12th, 1980 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Olney, Illinois. He later received a Juris Doctor from IIT Kent Law School. They moved to Lindenhurst in 1991, where they had their only Son, Christopher Edward Erwin in 1992. Ed served as a trial lawyer, a small business owner, a Democratic activist and volunteer in Lake County, Illinois. Ed was an avid reader of history and listener of music. Ed dedicated his time to numerous Lake County Democratic candidates. Edward was an eternal optimist, kind and fun-loving. A devoted sports fan of the Chicago White Sox, the Chicago Bears, and Blackhawks. Ed would want his friends and family to always remain a part of the political process. Get out and VOTE! 

Ed was the loving son of the late John C. and Patricia Erwin. He was the beloved husband of Terry (Brazitis) Erwin and father of Christopher (fiance Kimberly Isaacs) Erwin. Brother of Sean T (Amy Lester) and Judy Erwin. The Uncle of Benjamin (Somer) Erwin, Matthew (Alex Maki) Erwin , Katie (Neal) Erwin Pouilet and Kevin (Brianne Hart) Erwin. Ed was also cherished by his late brother-in-law, Charlie, husband of Lynn Bruff (Brazitis), Gary and Ruth Brazitis, Uncle to Chelsey (Kyle) Haines, Corey Bruff, Michael Brazitis and Nick Brazitis.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7th, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

Memorial service will take place at 6:00 P.M.

at Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home 858 Sheridan Rd., Highwood, Illinois.
