Edward Joseph Weber, 64, of Round Lake, IL, sadly, passed away at his home on August 22 following several years of illness. He was born to Jim and Avis Weber on November 7, 1959 in Highland Park, IL. Ed was part owner of a gas station in Highland Park until moving to Round Lake in 1994. He had a strong appreciation of nature and was an outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt, snowmobile, camp, feed and house the birds, and tend his trees and vegetable gardens. Ed was known for his 10 foot tall tomato plants! He was adored by family, friends and neighbors as a fun-loving, helpful, and kind person who always wanted to share time and gifts with people. His wild tales of past adventures and good-natured sense of humor made him a legend with most people who met him.
Ed is survived by his brothers and sisters; Jim (Minda) Weber of Cary, David (Cheryl Steiger) of Highland Park, Mary (Randy)Falkenrath of Riverwoods, Karen (Tim) Carter of Lake Villa, and Sara Weber of Round Lake Beach. Surviving nieces and nephews include James (Angie) Weber, Derek Weber, Aiden (Virginia Ma) Weber, Clayton Weber, Rob (Shannen) Falkenrath, Chris (Hollis Hanson-Pollock) Falkenrath, Cori (Mikey Abella) Carter, Ed Carter, Leah Carter, Tracy Weber (Todd Whitaker), Anthony Weber, and Brianna (Vell Springer) Howard-Weber, preceded in death by his parents Jim and Avis Weber and his brother John Coleman.
