Eric Casique Torres

Eric Casique Torres, age 14, of Prospect Heights passed away suddenly on October 14, 2022, in Prospect Heights. Born October 1, 2008, in Chicago to the union of Heriberto Casique and Irania Torres. He was in the 8th grade at Lake Cook Young Adult Academy. He excelled in all academic subjects; whenever he put his mind to something, he did it with excellence. Eric's personality was always playful, happy, and mischievous. He had many goals, such as doing well in school, graduating, and playing soccer and basketball. He played for the soccer team 'Leones' for three years and enjoyed every moment. Eric was the most helpful person; whenever anyone needed help, he would do it. He thoroughly loved video games, music, and his cat Luna who will miss him very much. One of his favorite pastimes was putting puzzles together, legos, or anything that needed assembling with his hands. He was the person that got along well with everyone and everyone loved him. 

Beloved son to Heriberto Casique and Irania Torres. Loving brother to Yessica Reynoso, Estephanie Reynoso, and Esmeralda Casique. Dear grandson to Lino Torres of Morelos, Mexico, and Rosa Martinez of Prospect Heights IL. A deeply cherished nephew to many aunts and uncles. And a very dear cousin to many more.

A la edad de 14 años, de Prospect Heights, falleció repentinamente el 14 de octubre de 2022 en Prospect Heights. Nació el 1 de octubre de 2008, en Chicago de la unión de Heriberto Casique e Irania Torres. Estaba en el 8º grado en Lake Cook Young Adult Academy. Se destacó en todas las materias académicas; Cada vez que se proponía algo, lo hacía con excelencia. La personalidad de Eric siempre fue juguetona, feliz y traviesa. Tenía muchas metas, como hacerlo bien en la escuela, graduarse, jugando fútbol y baloncesto. Jugó para el equipo de fútbol 'Leones' durante tres años y disfrutó cada momento. Eric fue la persona más servicial; Cada vez que alguien necesitaba ayuda, él lo hacía. Le encantaban los videojuegos, la música y su gata Luna, que lo extrañará mucho. Uno de sus pasatiempos favoritos era armar rompecabezas, legos o cualquier cosa que necesitara armar con sus manos. Era la persona que se llevaba bien con todos y todos lo amaban.

Hijo amado de Heriberto Casique e Irania Torres. Hermano amoroso de Yessica Reynoso, Estephanie Reynoso y Esmeralda Casique. Querido nieto de Lino Torres de Morelos, México, y Rosa Martínez de Prospect Heights IL. Un sobrino profundamente querido para muchas tías y tíos. Y un primo muy querido para muchos más.

A visitation will take place Monday, October 24th, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. at Sequin & Symonds Funeral Home 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood IL 60045. 

A funeral mass will occur the following day at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 1170 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016. Interment following the funeral mass at All Saints Cemetery & Mausoleum 700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016
