Erika Aldophine (Müller) Sutton

Erika Adolphine Sutton, nee; Müller, 98, of Skokie, IL, passed away peacefully August 30, 2022 at Condell Medical Center of Libertyville. She was born December 22, 1923 in Kassel, Germany. She was the youngest of 6 children born to the union of Albert Müller and Else Kraft. Erika was a German war bride who immigrated to the United States in April 28, 1948 where she married her husband of 61 years Harold Walter Sutton on November 27, 1948 until his passing on May 17, 2009. As a newlywed she quickly earned her elementary education in Cook County, and then went on to work for over 45 years at Searle Pharmaceuticals in Skokie starting as a custodian and retiring as a production, and quality control manager.
Erika is survived by her nieces; Christa (Wilhelm) Wiesner of Kassel, Germany, Hannelore (Harald) Schwesinger, of Kassel, Germany, nephew; Hans-Günther Sintara of Osterode-Lerbach, Germany, great nieces and great nephews; Jutta Zieglers, Sophie & Walter Sintara, Irving (Magdalena) Symonds III., the late John Symonds, Mark (Deborah) Symonds, Matthew (Laura) Symonds, Daniel (Joy) Symonds, Katherine (Ron) Salyards, great great nieces and great great nephews; Magdalena (John) Symonds-Burgess, Erika Symonds, Elizabeth Symonds, Mark Symonds Jr., Rebecca Symonds, Penelope Symonds, Luke Symonds, Victoria (Anthony) Sawall, Rosie Salyards, Kate Salyards, Matthew Symonds, Jr., Emily Symonds, and Vivienne Symonds, great great great nieces; Naomi, Zipporah, and Grace, her very close and helpful friends; Karen & Dan Parrilli, Margaret Long, and Gloria & Ron Kalmas. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Sutton, parents; Albert and Else Müller, sisters and brothers; Klara (the late Conrad) Beainatowske, Anna (the late Karl) Munench, Alfred (Mia) Müller, Fritz (the late Hannachen) Müller (WWII 1943 KIA/MIA), Sophie (Walter) Sintara, nephew; Irving (Adeline) Symonds Jr.,  and great nephew; John Symonds.

Visitation will be held at 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday, September 11, 2022 at the  Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Rd., Highwood, IL 60040, chapel service 12:00 P.M.
