Ernest Rogers, Jr., age 69 of Chicago passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 at the Symphony Chicago West, Chicago, Illinois. Born June 21, 1953 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas to the union of Ernest and Verda Mae (Custer) Rogers, Sr.  A steel mill worker by profession he resided in the Chicago metro area for the majority of his life where he was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.

Beloved husband of the late Patricia Branch.  Dear father of Tina Branch, Gloria Owen. Earnest Branch, Davin Rogers, Cory Rogers and Laparis Rogers. Fond grandfather of 10, Dear brother of Ona, Wanda, Ricky, Jackie, Larry, Earnestine, Gloria, Darnell, Dexter, Jerneice and Arletha. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Don't grieve for me, now I'm free

I'm following the path God laid for me.

I took His hand when I heard Him call
