Flora Lee Sopkin

Flora Lea Sopkin, aged 91, passed away on January 30, 2025 near her home in Des Plaines, IL. She is survived by her beloved daughter Jacqueline Summers; son-in-law Stephen Kubica; son Barry Sopkin; cherished sister Marcy Levinson; brother-in-law David Levinson; cousin Marsha Boblitz Schuch and cousins Michelle and Heather Conti. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, George Sopkin.

Lea dedicated many years to her career as a secretary, a role she cherished deeply. Upon retiring, she embraced life as a homemaker and pursued various passions. She enjoyed playing tennis, needlepoint, participating in a senior tap dance troupe, attending theater performances, solving crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with her beloved dog, Rosie.

Lea will be remembered for her passion for her hobbies and interests, for her strength and abundant competence, and for her zest for life.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, to be determined.
