Francisco Salazar Hernandez

Francisco Salazar Hernandez "Barbacuas" age 78 of Waukegan passed away peacefully Thursday, December 15, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 7, 1944 in Aixcualco, Guerrero, México the forth child of seven born to the union of Porfirio Salazar and Sabina Hernandez.  In August of 1967 in Apango, Guerrero, Mexico he married Margarita Castrejon and the couple started their family. In 1979 he immigrated to the United States and in the following years his family followed. In1986 he started working at the Highland Park Country Club until its closing in 2017.  Always happy, friendly and positive Francisco had a gentleness and tenderness that defined a man that accomplished much in life thru many adversities.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching his next generation grow, but with his children he raised them in a strict home to be honest, respectful, strong and independent men and woman who will make him proud that they are his children. 

Beloved husband of Margarita. Loving father of  Quirina Salazar (Gabriel Arroyo), Jorge (Lily) Salazar, Armando (Amanda) Salazar, Marcos Salazar and Juventino (Suzana) Salazar.  Fond grandfather of 15. Dear brother of two sisters in Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.
