Frank L. Pasquesi, age 91 of Highwood, passed away on July 12, 2023. He was born on September 9, 1931, in Lake Forest, Illinois, to the union of Paul and Lucia (Lenzini) Pasquesi. He graduated from Highland Park High School, class of 1950, and worked at Fort Sheridan Army Base as a clerk. In 1951, during the Korean War, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, and served at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, and transferred to Walker Air Force Base in Roswell, New Mexico, which was under the Strategic Air Command (SAC). In 1955, he returned to Highwood with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He decided to become an electrician, and served his apprenticeship for four years, becoming a journeyman in 1961 and joining Electrical Union 150 in Waukegan, Illinois. In 1977, he returned to Fort Sheridan to continue his career as an electrician, planner/estimator, and engineering technician. When Fort Sheridan closed in 1993, he was hired by Fort McCoy, Wisconsin in the Post Caretaker Force. He retired from the Fort and the Electrical Union in 1997.
For over 50 years, he was a member of The Highwood American Legion Post 501 and the Knights of Columbus. He also served as a City of Highwood Alderman from April 1991 until March of 1995.
Survivors include three daughters: Lorena (Paul) Jaimes of Highwood, Marisa (Andy) Robinson of Elgin, and Paula (Jordan) Levin of Wauconda, and three granddaughters, Ava, Carly, and Lucia.
