Gary Leon Schneeberger

Gary Leon Schneeberger, age 79 of Vernon Hills passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at  Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville.  Born January 4, 1942 in Lansing, Michigan to the union of Leon Frank and Hazel Bernice (Hansen) Schneeberger. He served in the U.S. Air Force acheiving the rank of Captain during the Vietnam Conflict where he worked on the Minuteman Weapons System, a nuclear ballistic missle program. After his military carrier, Gary was a CPA with Baxter Labs, Paul Davis Systems and was a volunteer for the Lake County Habatat for Humanity.  Gary was an avid golfer and curler. He was a member of the Chicago Curling Club, Northbrook and the Hiawatha Sports Club in Ingedine, MI.

Dear brother of Kay Ann (Eldon) Bursley of Charlotte, MI and William (Diana) Schneeberger of Northbrook. Fond uncle of Steven (Janell) Bursley of Charlotte, MI and Kathy (Andrew) Brown of Olivet, MI, Ryan Schneeberger of Tampa, FL, April Johnson of Streamwood and Roy (Maysa) Schneeberger of Mundelein. Great uncle of 5.

Graveside service and military honors will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 2:00 P.M. at Fort Sheridan National Cemetery, Highwood, IL.
