Gerardo Rascon, age 78 of Chicago passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 at home in Chicago. Born on June 5, 1944 in Moris, Chihuahua, Mexico to the union of Amado and Maria Esther (Perez) Rascon. In August of 1971 in Chihuahua, Mexico he married Maria. Gerardo immigrated to Chicago in 1969 with his family following in 1977. He worked on the factory lines at Richco Plastics in Chicago. Gerardo was a character and jokester, who enjoyed being out in nature and attending church outings and being with his family. His favorite hobby was going to flee markets and garage sales and enjoying the art of the deal.

Beloved husband of the late Maria on February 16, 2020. Loving father of Jesus I Rascon, Gerardo Rascon, Jr. and Maria S. (Chato) Rascon-Mata. Fond grandfather of 3 Stephanie, Joshua and Isaiah Rascon. Dear brother of Francosca "Kiti" Rascon and Hortencia (Francisco) Lopez. Dear uncle to many.

Visitation and services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the North Hispanic Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2120 West Sunnyside Ave., Chicago, Illinois.

Interment will be private.
