Helen Psihos

Helen P. Psihos, age 72 of North Chicago passed away peacefully on Sunday morning March 12, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born August 13, 1950 in Argos, Argolis, Greece to the union of Peter and Konstandina (Kapatanios) Psihos. In 1967 she immigrated to the United States with her husband to start their family. Helen worked at the family's restaurant The Full Moon on Rt 41 in North Chicago where she would joyfully wait on customers with the biggest smile that would light up the restaurant. Helen had hundreds of customers that would come just so they could see her, she had a way to make everyone of her customers "friends" feel special, loved on and fed well.

Beloved mother of Nektario Papas. Devoted husband of Demetrios Zaxos, Loving sister of Spiros (Sophie) Psihos of Gurnee, John (Eymorfia) Psihos of Gurnee and Panagiotas (Nick) Papadias of Argos, Greece. Fond aunt of Sprios, Jr. and Stefanos, Spiros, Peter, Nick and Konstandina Psihos and Jim (Anastasia) Papadias. Great aunt of 2.

Visitation Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM with an evening wake service at 6:00 PM at the Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood, Illinois.

​Funeral Service Wednesday, March 15, 2023 Visitation 10:00 AM until time of funeral service 11:00 AM at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1400 O'Plaine Road, Libertyville, Illinois interment will follow at St. Sava Cemetery, 32377 Milwaukee Avenue Rt. 21, Libertyville, Illinois.  Memorial Luncheon will follow at Flanagan's Bar and Grill, 3201 Buckley Road, Libertyville, IL
