Humberto Rodriguez

Humberto Rodriguez, age 92 of Lakemoor, Illinois passed away on September 14, 2024 at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, North Chicago. He was born August 16, 1932 in New York, New York the youngest child born to the union of Ulpiano and Justina (Rivera) Rodriguez. On February 19, 1951 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. serving his country in combat during the Korean Conflict. He received the United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He retired from United Airlines as a reservations agent.

Beloved husband of Carmen Barreto. Loving father of the late Richard, Ronald and Steve (Patricia) Rodriguez. Fond grandfather of 5. Dear brother of Nellie Rodriguez and the late Hector Rodriguez.

A public visitation will be held on Friday morning September 27, 2024 from 8:30 A.M. until time of prayers at 10:45 AM at the Symonds Lakes Funeral Home, 111 W. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, Illinois to St. Peter's Catholic Church, 27551 Volo Village Road, Volo, Illinois for a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11:30 A.M. Interment following at Fort Sheridan National Cemetery, Highwood, Illinois for military honors at 2:00 P.M.
