J. Caryl (Knapp) Eckhart

J. Caryl Eckhart nee: Knapp. 85 of Grayslake, IL and formerly of Des Plaines passed away Monday, December 22, 2025 at the Advocate Condell Medical Center, surrounded by her family, She was born June 15, 1940 in Cleveland, OH, and was the middle daughter of three, born to the union of Spencer and Maude Knapp. She started as a bank teller at the Kraft Employees Credit Union and retired 30 years later as the branch manager, and in the past few years moved to Grayslake.

Caryl is survived by her sons; Bradford Eckhart of Venice, CA, and Kenneth (Kelly) Eckhart of Grayslake, her grandchildren; Gianna, Sean, and Ashley Eckhart, her companion; Thomas Hohenstein of Grayslake, her sister; Susan Rust of Painesville, OH, brother in law Alan Jackson of Valley City, OH, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Preceded in death by her parents; Spencer and Maude Knapp, Her sister Nancy Jackson, and James Lacivita.
