James Richard McMillen

James Richard McMillen, age 74, a 5 year resident of Waukegan, Illinois former lifelong resident of Rochester, New York passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at The Terrace, Waukegan, Illinois.  Born February 19, 1949 in Rochester, New York to the union of James Roland McMillen and Carol (Giordano) McMillen. He retired from the Pittsford Central School District and was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Rochester, New York. His favorite place was Canandaigua Lake where many family vacations, camping, visiting with family and friends occurred.  On September 23, 2006 he married Nancy Ann Lavinski at Victory Baptist Church in Rochester, New York.

Survivors include his mother Carol McMillen, his wife Nancy Ann McMillen. Two sisters Beth Crosby of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Merrilee (Jay) Brown of the Woodlands, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 4 P.M. at Christian Neighbors Church, 222 N County St, Waukegan, IL 60085. Interment was private.
