Javier Gutierrez Diaz

Javier Gutierrez Diaz, age 65 of North Chicago, Illinois passed away surrounded by his wife and children on November 21, 2022. He was born on November 24, 1956 in Huitzuco, Guerrero, Mexico to the union of Camilo Gutierrez and Bertha Diaz. He married Barbarita Niño Villanueva on April 17, 1984 at the Huitzuco Court House. Together they started a family and in April of 1989 Javier came to the United States to build a new life and home for his family, shortly after in July of 1990 his wife and 2 children came to join him. His first job was in Highwood, Illinois at Hotel Moraine as a dishwasher then as a van mechanic for Pasquesi Plumbing. Javier was always a hard worker and put his heart into his business, he worked as a full time mechanic in his home garage in Lake Bluff, then in 2013, his biggest accomplishment came true when he opened up his own auto repair shop in Highwood called, "Javiers Garage" at the corner of Green Bay Road and North Avenue. Javier was a man that was adored by his family, always helpful and always placing everyone before himself; he cared so deeply. He was know and loved for his humor and always had a story to tell. He had a passion for gardening, feeding birds, and being outdoors. He also had a liking for rock music, country music, and Harley motorcycle's. Javier was a daily regular at D's coffee shop in Highwood, and never missed a day. 

Beloved husband of Barbarita Niño Villanueva. Loving father of Natali (Christopher) Negron of Hanover Park, IL, Javier A. Gurierrez of Highwood, IL, Itzel (Edgar) Gonzalez of North Chicago, IL and Ana B. Gutierrez of North Chicago, IL. Dear grandfather to Jaydine Negron, Jaysine Negron, Jacqueline Negron, Jasmine Gonzalez, Jomar Vargas, Ambar Gutierrez, Cattaleya Gutierrez, Kimberly Gonzalez, Owen Gonzalez, Xavier Gutierrez, and Novalee Alvarez. Cherished brother to Rafael (Marvee) Gutierrez, Rey Gutierrez, Silvia Gutierrez, Rosa Gutierrez, and Catalina Abundes. Dear uncle to Angelica Lomas, Ivan Lomas, Aimee Gutierrez, Ximena Gutierrez, Karime Gutierrez, Aurora Castro, Isamar Abundes, and Yessenia Abundes.
