Javier Guzman

Javier Guzman Diaz, age 56 of Chicago passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 15, 1967 on a ranch in Tupatarillo, Michoacán, Mexico. Javier was a self employed truck driver but most importantly a family man who had a passion for cooking. On March 2, 2001 at St. Pius V Catholic Church in the Pilsen neighborhood he married Sara Guzmán Rodríguez, the celebrant at their wedding celebration was a newly ordained priest Fr. Brendon Curran.

Beloved husband of Sara. Loving father of Jessica Martinez, Alejandra Guzman, Adrian Guzman and Paola Guzman. Fond grandfather of Ariel Rodriguez and Liam Zamudio. Devoted son of Jose Guzman. Dear brother of Raquel Diaz, Armando Guzman, Mario Guzman, Hector Guzman, Jose Antonio Guzman, Gloria Guzman and Reyna Guzman. Cherished uncle to many.

Visitation Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the Richard Midway Funeral Home, 5749 South Archer Avenue, Chicago, IL. Visitation Friday, March 1, 2024 from 9:00 AM until time of funeral mass 10:00 AM at Saint Nicholas of Tolentine Catholic Church, 3721 W. 62nd Street, Chicago. Celebrating the funeral mass will be Fr. Brendon Curran. Interment will follow after the mass at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Illinois.
