John Frank Hethcoat

John Frank Hethcoat, Jr. age 69 of Evanston, Illinois passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023 at home. Born on October 7, 1953 the oldest child of nine born to the union of John Frank Sr. and Lois Mae (Smith) Hethcoat. A graduate of Senn High School, Chicago, class of 1970. On March 3, 1971 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he was a radio operator. He was discharged from service on February 8, 1977. On December 7, 1979 at City Hall, Chicago he married Carole Ann Eaker and the couple started their family. John was a building engineer for Parliament Enterprises in Chicago retiring in 2019. John was a Chicago Bears and Cubs fan, he enjoyed time fishing, barbecuing and spending time with family and friends.

Beloved husband of the late Carole Ann on April 10, 2023. Loving father of Rhiannon. Dear brother of Cynthia (Michael) Wright of South Carolina, Michael (Brenda) Hethcoat of Michigan, the late William "Poodle" Hethcoat in 1991, Steven (Penny) Hethcoat of South Carolina, the late Betty Hethcoat in 2021, Jeffrey (Alicia) Hethcoat of Florida, Thomas (Robin) Hethcoat of Illinois and Timothy (Rebecca) Hethcoat of Illinois.  Dear uncle and cousin to many. Devoted master and companion of his dog Cooper and grand fur babies Gizmo, Scrappy and Jordan.

In lieu of flowers donations to assist the family may be directly made to the funeral home. 

A Visitation will be taking place on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a funeral service starting at 6:00 P.M. at Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood, IL 60040.

Graveside service & military honors Monday, October 9, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Fort Sheridan National Cemetery, Vattman Road, Lake Forest, IL 60035.
