John Picchietti, age 93 of Highwood passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at the Warren Barr Nursing Center, Highland Park. He was born on December 23, 1930 in Sant'Anna Pelago, Modena Italy and immigrated in 11947 thru Ellis Island with several other local contemporaries. Arriving in Highwood John's first job was at Kleinschmidt, from there he bar tended at many places such as LaLira, Ermando's, Bob-O-Link Golf Course and the Nite N' Gale. John was an avid golfer and loyal Green Bay Packers fan. He self named himself the Silver Fox and thru the DMV he received his license plates "SILVER FOX" this was because of his beautiful head of silver hair. In his later years John enjoyed socializing at the Highwood McDonalds and his Wednesday lunches at The Toad Stool.
Beloved husband of the late Dolores. Loving father of Lori Fiocchi (Joey Lorusso) of Highwood. Dear brother of the late Marina Lenzini and the late Angelo Picchietti. Fond uncle oof 3 nieces and 1 nephew.
Visitation Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 10:00 AM until time of mass 11:00 AM at Christ Our Hope Parish (Immaculate Conception Campus) Deerfield and Green Bay Roads, Highland Park. Private entombment Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, Illinois.
