John Psihos

John Peter Psihos, age 71 of Gurnee, Illinois passed away on March 14, 2025 at the Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, Illinois. He was born September 22, 1953 in Agios Stefanos, Greece to the union of Peter and Konstantina (Kapetanios) Psihos.  John was the owner of the Full Moon Restaurant on Rt. 41 at Buckley Road, in Lake Bluff for five decades, Flanagan's Sports Bar and Grill, North Chicago, and the former Cafe Oceana, Gurnee, Illinois.

Survivors include his wife Omorfoula née Gryparis. Beloved father of Peter MD, Nick, Dina and Spiros Psihos. Dear brother of Spiros (Sophie) Psihos, the late Helen Psihos (Demetrios Zahos) and Panagoula Psihos (Niko Papadias).

Fond uncle of Nektarios Pappas, Spiros and Stefanos Psihos and Demetrios Papadias.

Visitation Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM with an evening wake service at 8:30 PM at the Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood, Illinois.

​Funeral Service Thursday, March 20, 2025 Visitation 10:00 AM until time of funeral service 11:00 AM at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1400 O'Plaine Road, Libertyville, Illinois interment will follow at St. Sava Cemetery, 32377 Milwaukee Avenue Rt. 21, Libertyville, Illinois.
