Jose Anibal Canales

Jose Anibal Canales, age 55 of Chicago passed away on Friday January 21, 2022 at Peterson Park Nursing & Rehab Center, Chicago, Illinois. He was born February 23, 1966 in Chicago to the union of Jose and Eva (Leon) Canales. He graduated from Roberto Clemente High School, class of 1984.  Jose's passion in life was working on cars, which led him to where he worked at Pep Boys Auto Parts in Chicago for over 25 years in the automotive retail side, and also with the City of Chicago for 15 years in the NAPPA Auto Parts division. He often said that he enjoyed his job with the City of Chicago,  his job was his favorite thing to do, play with auto parts, and here they paid him to do it. Jose was also known to be quite the jokester and was the life of any party. He will truly be missed.

Loving companion for over 20 years to Jessenia De Jesus. Cherished son of Eva Leon. Beloved father of Jennifer Muniz, Jose (Omayra Colon) Conales, and Jasmine Canales. Loving grandfather to 10. Dear brother to Janet Canales, Ada Gomez, Samuel Colon, Elizabeth Colon and Carmen Colon. Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Thursday, January 27th, 2022 from 4 PM until 9 PM at the Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood. Funeral Friday, January 28, 2022 from 9 AM until 10 AM Prayer Service. Funeral Procession and interment following to Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, IL where Jose will be laid to rest.
