Joyce Monica “Debbie” Kilbride nee; Burns, 81, of South Lyon, MI, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023 at the Cottages of Fox Lake, she was born April 26, 1941 in Detroit, MI, and was the youngest of two children born to the union of Theodore and Evelyn Burns. Debbie was married to the love of her life, Bob Kilbride for 59 years before his passing on January 15, 2021, Debbie loved shopping, traveling, doing crafts, going to the casino, and spending time with her family and friends. Debbie was a devoted catholic and volunteered with the Holy Spirit Catholic Church woman’s guild and the Pregnancy Help Clinic.
Debbie is survived by her children; Michael (Vicki) Kilbride of Taylors, SC, Kelle (Rob) Belgrave of Strongsville, OH, and Katy (Jason) Kieltyka of Lake Villa, IL, loving grandma of Courtney, Matthew, Sarah, Joshua, Riley, and Evelyn, and her nephew; David (Kathy) Burns of Allen Park, MI. She also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, cousins, god-children and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Bob Kilbride, her parents; Theodore and Evelyn Burns and her brother; Ted Burns.
A memorial gathering will take place 9:30 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2023 until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 9565 Musch Rd, Brighton, MI 48116, refreshments to follow mass in the church activity center, entombment of cremains will take place at 2:30 PM at the St. Patrick’s Cemetery 201-231 Brighton Lake Rd.
