Julia “Julie” Brugioni Warren, (86), of Lake Forest, passed away suddenly on August 11, 2022. Julie was born on December 11, 1935, in Bevier, Missouri to Julio and Anita (Amidei) Brugioni. She lived in Waukee, Iowa before moving with her family to Illinois as a young child; she was raised as an only child from age nine after her older sister Norma, died of leukemia at age 14.
Julie is survived by her daughter Debra Warren (Jim), and grandsons Gerard and Leland as well as a host of cousins and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and husband Robert Ellis Warren. She was widowed at twenty-six and dedicated the remainder of her life to being an extraordinary single parent, friend, and confidante to her daughter. In later years, her grandsons became the light of her life; she radiated joy whenever she was in their presence.
She enjoyed a fulfilling 22-year career at Highland Park High School and retired in 2003 with many cherished friends and memories.
Julie adored her family and they treasured her in return. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and will remember for her loving, generous nature, her beautiful smile, and her unwavering devotion to her family.
Although she enjoyed vacationing with her family, she was a homebody at heart. A woman with energy to spare, Julie enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading, conversations with her dear friend, Rose Marie, and spending time with her daughter and grandsons.
