Katherine Anne Lunardi

Katherine Anne Lunardi, age 76, of Highland Park, Illinois passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at her home. She was born in Lake Forest, Illinois on August 12, 1946 to the union of Warren and Ann (Kindlein) Sage, she was raised in Lake Forest and graduated from Lake Forest High School, class of 1964. On March 4, 1967 at the Church of Saint Mary, Lake Forest she married Luigi Giuseppe Lunardi and the couple settled in Highland Park where they started their family. Katherine worked as a hairdresser for 2 years before she became a full time, stay at home mom, after her children were grown she re-entered the work force where she worked as a bank teller at Lake Forest Bank and Trust in Lake Bluff.

Beloved wife of Luigi. Loving mother of Jerry (Gayle) Lunardi of Jacksonville, Florida, Angie Leintz of Zion and Kristina (Trey) Milner of Commerce City, Colorado. Fond grandmother of Stephen, Bryan and Maile Lunardi and Tyler, Dylan and Hailey (Cameron) Jobe. Great grandmother of Micah Jobe. Dear sister of the late Lorraine Sage, late Gerald Sage and Pam (Thad) Biggers of Shawnee, Kansas. Cherished aunt of Katie and Elizabeth Biggers. Dear sister-in-law of the late Gabriella (late Domenico) Pieracci. Dear aunt of Adriano (Michela) Pieracci of Rome, Italy, Giancarlo Pieracci of S'Anna, Italy and Nancy (Silvano) Bulgarelli of S'Anna, Italy and great aunt of Giulia Pieracci, Gabriella Bulgarelli (Stefano Tinti) and Sabrina Bulgarelli (fiancé Alessandro Bernardi).

Visitation Saturday, October 15, 2022 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral mass 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church, 770 Deerfield Road, Highland Park. Interment will be private.  Memorials in Katherine's memory may be made to Misericordia Heart of Mercy, 6300 North Ridge Road, Chicago, Illinois 60660 would be appreciated.
