Laura Mateescu, age 77 of Chicago passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 at Ascension St Joseph Medical Center, Chicago. Born March 28, 1945 in Brasov, Romania to the union of Valentin Mateescu and Maria Barca. She was a school teacher by profession.

Visitation Friday, November 11, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral service 11:00 A.M. at Saint Mary Romanian Orthodox Church, 4225 North Central Avenue, Chicago, Illinois Interment will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery,
