A man of many interests, Lawrence was known for his lifelong passion for motorcycles and was a proud member of the Modenese Society. A former member of the Highwood Volunteer Fire Department, he found great joy in earning his Master Gardener Certification, and in his later years discovered a new enthusiasm as an aeromodeller, pursuing this hobby with dedication in both Illinois and Florida.
