Leo Ori

Leo Ori age 91 of Highwood passed away peacefully on Sunday morning December 3, 2023 at his home. He was born off April 30, 1932 in S'Anna Pelago, Modena, Italy to the union of Sante and Ersilina (Bernardi) Ori. On September 6, 1952 at Saint James Church in Highwood he married Norma Grandi and the loving couple shared 71 years of marriage. Leo was a stone mason by trade and was foreman and superintendet working for Linari Construction Company and Twin Construction. He was a proud member of St. James Church, Highwood, the Modenese Society and the Highwood Bocci Ball Club.

Beloved husband of Norma, Loving father of Arthur (Helen) Ori, Ronald (Darlene) Ori and Richard Ori. Fond grandfather of Michael (Kristin) Ori, Amanda Ori (Scott Monfre), Mark (Debbie) Ori, Bianca Ori, Savina (Steven) Solomon, Vanessa Ori and Geneva Ori. Great grandfather of Billy, Lucy, Celia and Sutton. Dear brother of the late Mario (late Maria)(late Catherine) Ori, late Hon. Nello (late Nora)(late Verle) Ori, late Bruno (Maria) Ori and the late Maria (late Valentino) Biondi. Fond uncle to many.

Visitation Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM and Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood to Christ Our Hope Parish St. James Campus, 230 North Avenue, Highwood, mass 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, 1970 Buckley Road, Libertyville.
