Linda Della Sneed-Bell, age 65 of Chicago passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 23, 2023 in De Kalb, Illinois. Born in Chicago, Illinois on September 4, 1957 to Hattie Corrine Mackler. She was raised in Chicago and  graduated from Dunbar High School, class of 1976, then received her associates degree from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. For over 30 years she worked as a parent advocate for the Chicago Public Schools, she loved working with children and their families. In her free time she enjoyed cooking for her family. In 2009 she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized into his kingdom at the Salem Baptist Church in Chicago under Pastor James T. Meeks.

Beloved wife of the late Donald Bell on September 25, 2005. Loving mother of the late Sharon Sneed on September 29, 2008, Christina (Damany) Everett of Atlanta, GA and Rain Sneed of De Kalb, IL. Fond grandmother of Cierra, Zakyia, Christopher, Donald, Khari, Clarence and Trent. Dear sister of the late Anita Sneed, cherished aunt of Shawn Sneed and devoted special family friend Melvin Frye.

 

In Linda's memory all are asked to wear bright colorful clothing, floral to Hawaiian prints, this is a celebration, and she would want everyone to celebrate her home going in a bright colorful way, with joyful hearts, happy smiles and laughter. No tears, dark colors or sad faces.  Come ready to celebrate a life well lived.
