Lore (Mueller-Spaeth) Habel

Lore Habel née Mueller-Spaeth 92, of Gurnee, IL went home to be with the Lord whom she has served faithfully on December 4, 2024. She was born January 28, 1932, in Siegen, Germany and has been a resident of Gurnee and Grayslake, IL for the past 55 years.

Lore is survived by her children: Jutta “Judy” Habel of Waukegan, Illinois, Brigitte (Friedrich) Kuehn of Siegen, Germany, Friedrich (Carla) Habel of Olathe, Kansas, Christa (Jim) March of Gurnee, Illinois, Steve (Heidi) Habel of Gurnee, Illinois, and Paul (Tammy) Habel of Gurnee, Illinois; Grandchildren, Rebecca, Ana Alissa, Thomas, Jonathan, Rachel, TJ, Loran, Stephanie, Kaitlin, Corey, Taryn, and Jesse; Great-Grandchildren, Mats Jonah, Carolin, Elisa, Emma Louisa, Lea Sophie, Madison Harper, Dylan Henry, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is now reunited with her husband, Heinrich Habel, and son, Ernst-Otto, in passing.

A celebration of life will be held 10 AM Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Lakeland Church, 440 Hunt Club Road Gurnee, IL 60031. It was Lore’s wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to Emmaus Bible College, 2570 Asbury Rd Dubuque, IA 52001 or DD Homes (Pine Terrace), 2017 N Pine St. Waukegan, IL.
