Marcela Vazquez Alonso age 46 of Highland Park passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Highland Park Hospital. Born October 8, 1976 in Escuchapa, Guerrero, Mexico to the union of Gregorio Vazquez Alonso and Reyna Alonso Melchor. She immigrated to the United States in 1999 and worked hard to raise her family.  Her only fun was playing candy crush which you would always find her playing.

Beloved daughter of Gregorio Vazquez Alonso and the late Reyna Alonso Melchor on January 1, 1985 of Mexico. Devoted mother of Hernan Gomez of Highland Park. Loving sister of Eudocio (Maria Cruz) Vazquez Alonso of Highland Park, Isabel Vazquez Alonso of Mexico, her twin sister Beatriz (Tomas) Aragon of Highland Park and Rey (Anita) Vazquez Alonso of Mexico Cherished aunt to Jailin Aragon, Juliana Aragon and Guadalupe Vazquez all of Highland Park

Visitation Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood, IL. Funeral Monday, August 28, 2023 10:00 AM at St. James Church, 134 North Avenue, Highwood. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, 1920 Buckley Road, Libertyville.
