Marcelino Hernandez

Marcelino Hernandez, age 58 of Waukegan formerly of Highland Park passed away on May 28, 2021 at home. He was born December 6, 1962 in Rio Hondo, Texas to the union of Santos and Flora Hernandez. His family moved to Highland Park in 1968 and Marcelino attended Indian Trail School, Northwood Jr. High School and graduated from Highland Park High School, class of 1980. He worked in various restaurants in Highland Park and Highwood (Shrimp Walk and Washington Gardens) as a chef. His passion was sports, all kinds, especially tennis and basketball.

Dear brother of Victoria (Santiago) Rodrigues of Waukegan, Guadalupe Rodriguez of Somers, Wisconsin, Joseph (Kim) Hernandez of Mesa, Arizona and Santos Hernandez-Prado of San Jose, California. Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Memorial mass Saturday, June 26, 2021 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church, 508 Grand Avenue at West Street, Waukegan, Illinois Rev. Timothy O'Malley, celebrant. Private interment will be at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, Illinois.
