Margarita Salazar Cardona

Margarita Salazar Cardona, age 89, of Highland Park, Illinois passed away on January 31, 2024 at Aperion Care Highwood. She was born October 17, 1934 in Apanguito Guerrero, Mexico the only child born to the union of David Cardona and Sulpicia Salazar. Born into a strict conservative family her courtship to her future husband Juvenal Gonzalez was communicated with each other placing letters under a rock. Raising her family in Mexico she was very active in her church and visiting numerous churches while traveling thru out Mexico. Margarita was a homemaker that was a really good cook, seamstress and embroider. She immigrated to America on September 18, 2014 to live with her family.

Beloved wife of the late Juvenal Gonzalez in October of 1963. Loving mother of Hipolito Gonzalez of Zion, Victorino (Sara) Gonzalez of Waukegan and Isidoro (Beatriz) Gonzalez of Highland Park. Fond abuelita of 8, bisabuelita of 13.
