Michael Angelo Signorio "Mike", age 63, of Barrington, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Good Shepard Advocate Hospital in Barrington after a long illness. Mike was born on June 2, 1961, in Highland Park, IL to Angelo and Donna Lee (Hunter) Signorio.  Mike graduated from Highland Park High School in the class of 1979 and spent his adult life in the commercial cleaning industry most notably as  owner and operator of Republic Cleaning Services, Irving, TX.  Republic’s client, the North Texas Transit Authority, proved to be as rewarding as it was challenging and his stories about maintaining the “speedway” were funny although harrowing.

After relocating from the Dallas area back to his hometown, Highwood, to care for his ailing father in 2013, Mike took a managerial position with the ACE Hardware company in Barrington, IL. Mike was integral to the store’s success and his expertise and knowledge were requested by many customers returning for a dose of his side-splitting humor.

Mike was a kind, caring, loving person who would drop everything to help loved ones. He loved animals, especially dogs, had a life-long interest in golf and was a wiz in the kitchen. He was a thoughtful, insightful and attentive, son, brother, uncle and friend.

Survivors include his sister Annette (Thomas) O’Hearn of Scottsdale, AZ and two nephews Dylan and Sean O’Hearn. The Wilson Family of Highland Park, Curt, Moira, Leslie, Bruce (died 2018), Harrison, Henry, Charlie, Niko and Mike’s beloved Mimi (died 2024), held a special place in his heart and he in theirs.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 PM at Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood, IL. 60040
