Modesta Lara, age. of Round Lake Park passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Journeycare of Barrington. She was born July 29, 1968 in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico to the union of Ladislau Lara Vega and Elva Patiño de Lara. In 1979 she immigrated to Chicago in the Bucktown neighborhood and in 2000 she moved to Lake County.

Cherished daughter of Jesus Patiño of Celaya, GTO, Mexico. Beloved wife of Fernando. Loving mother of Jaime (Lea) Lara, Edwin Lara and Debbie (Raymond) Washington all of Round Lake Beach. Fond grandmother of Noah, Aleya, Ethan. Jovanni and Edwin Patiño, Jr., Fernando, Nova, Cameron, Adrian, Justice and Madeline. Dear sister of Willebaldo (Alicia) Patiño of Bristol, PA, Altaerace (Manuel) Ramirez of GTO, Mexico, Jesus (Maria Concepcion) Patiño, of GTO, Mexico, Laura (Jorge) Mesa of Glendale Hts., and Latiicia (Carlos) Renoj of Bristol, PA.
