Nancy A. Arroyo

Nancy Angeline Arroyo, age 92, of Highland Park, peacefully passed away on Monday, June 26th, 2023 at the Citadel Care Center in Wilmette. She was born on November 9, 1930, to the union of Osvaldo Rabattini and Mary (Lenzini) Rabattini.

Nancy was a devoted and loving wife to her late husband, John Arroyo. Together, they built a family and Nancy became a beloved mother to her four children. She leaves behind her sons, Michael Arroyo of Highwood, John (Late Barbara) Arroyo of Deerfield, Daniel Arroyo of Waukegan, and her daughter Amy Montalbano of Evanston. She was also a proud Nanna to her grandsons Anthony and Frank Montalbano, who brought immense joy to her life. Nancy showered them with love and created beautiful memories with her grandsons.

Nancy will be remembered for her passion of opera, and her love for riding her bicycle around town. She found great solace and joy in the world of music, particularly Luciano Pavarotti, which brought her a sense of peace and inspiration. She could often be found pedaling through the streets, enjoying the simple pleasures of life on her bicycle. Her boundless kindness and sharp wit will always be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a caring and loving sister, and her siblings held a special place in her heart.

As the last remaining member of the Rabattini family, Nancy's passing signifies the end of a significant era. However, we can take solace in knowing that she has been lovingly embraced by her dear siblings and joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, John. Imagining their laughter and engaging debates, it feels as if there is a grand celebration taking place in their heavenly reunion.

Nancy will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

Visitation Sunday July 9, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. following a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at the Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood. Interment will be the following day Monday, July 10, 2023 2:00 P.M. at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
