With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Nicholas Primo Mingilino, fondly known as Nick, who left us on November 6, 2023, leaving a legacy of love and resilience. Born on September 5, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Jimmy and late Beverly (Carioscia) Mingilino.
Nick was a beacon of creativity and a talented artist whose imaginative spirit illuminated the lives of those around him. He was a talented drawer whose artworks are treasured keepsakes for those fortunate to have them. Above all, Nicholas was a loving father, a resilient soul whose love for his children was his guiding compass. His kindness was his signature, always there for anyone in need, a testament to his loving nature.
He is survived by his children David, Joe, Nicole, Angelina, his grandchildren, Ulisis, Zariah, Jaylon, August, Amarah, Jonelle, Jazel, Janeya, Aliyah and his loving companion, Nancy Garcia. He also leaves behind his siblings Renee Mingilino, Chris (Bari) Mingilino, his bonus mom Aunt Katherine (Richard) Alvizu and their two daughters Ronda (James) Shotsburger and Jeanine Kirby, as well as several nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great- nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember him with love. Nick was predeceased by his children, Genesis and Josh.
A Celebration of Nick's life has been scheduled for Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Calvary Church of Naperville, 9S200 State Route 59, Naperville, IL 60564
