Norberta (Magallanes) Carranza

Norberta Carranza, 79, of Island Lake, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at the Condell Medical Center of Libertyville, She was born June 6, 1945 Zacatecaz, Mexico, and was a middle child of twelve, born to the union of Teodoro & Dionicia Magallanes.

Roberta is survived by husband, Ezquiel Carranza of Island Lake, her sons; Javier (Gloria Guzman) Martinez, and the late Francisco (Diana Juarez) Carranza, Grandchildren; Edward (Veronica) Martinez, Javier Martinez Jr., Vivian (Michael) Lacala, Ezquiel Carranza, Andrea Carranza, the Late Alyssa Carranza, Francisco S. Carranza, and Yizel Juarez, her eight brothers and sisters, and nieces, nephews, and cousins, Roberta is also survived by her beloved fur baby, Lucky.

A visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the Symonds Lakes Funeral Home 111 W. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030, Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 9:00 A.M. Saturday, August 31 at the Santa Maria Del Popolo Catholic Church Chapel (West side of Rt#45 & North of church parking lot) 116 N. Lake St., Mundelein, IL, Interment to follow at the Ascension Catholic Cemetery 1937 Buckley Rd. (Rt#137 & St. Mary’s Rd.)
