It is with great sadness that the family of Olga Vranic, age 84, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin formerly of Dyer, Indiana announces her passing on July 8, 2023. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Milan Vranic.
She will be fondly be remembered by her three children; Nada (Tom) Hanekamp of Chicago, IL, Gordana (Paul) Robey of Milwaukee, WI, and Dr. Mitar (Kristina) Vranic of Scottsdale, AZ.
She is also survived by her seven grandchildren; Tara and Benjamin Robey, Mia (Hanekamp) Zenda, Griffin Hanekamp, Nyla, Lily, and Milan Vranic, her sister; Mira Radjenovic, and brother; Blagoje Stefanovic, and their families, numerous nieces, nephews, kumovi, and dear friends.
Olga moved to Milwaukee in 2018 to be near her daughter, Gordana. There she mastered Bingo, learned to paint, and made new friends. She showed all of us that one is never too old to learn something new. Her cheerful attitude and bright smile will surely be missed by all.
Olga was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church and The Serbian Sisters Circle in East Chicago, IN for many decades.
Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, July 14, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the New Gracanica Serbian Monastery 35249 W. Grant Ave, Third Lake, IL 60046. Interment to follow in the New Gracanica Serbian Monastery Cemetery, the Symonds Lakes Funeral Home of Grayslake, IL were entrusted with the arrangements, for additional information please contact the funeral home at 847-543-1080.
