Oliami Yaa Rose "Kevin" age 48 of Kenosha, Wisconsin passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at the Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was born November 24, 1977 in Kingston, Jamaica to the union of Michael Anthony Rose and Velonia Mae Smile. He was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend. He shared his life with his siblings: Omari, Michelle, Jaanna, Azonia, Rudy, and Michael Jr.
Kevin spent his early childhood in Waterhouse, Kingston, with his parents and siblings. Later, he moved to Spanish Town, where he was lovingly raised alongside his grandmother, uncles, and cousins. He attended Horizon Park All-Age School before transferring to Denham Town High School in Kingston, where he completed his education.
While attending Horizon Park All-Age School, Kevin demonstrated both determination and athletic ability by winning the 800-meter race at the 1993 All-Age Championships Track and Field Competition. During these years, he also developed a passion for basketball and football.
Kevin learned valuable trade skills through the guidance of his uncles. His Uncle Matthew, owner of Matt Construction Company, and his Uncle Willard, who worked with Matalon Homes, taught him steelwork, painting, and welding while giving him opportunities to develop those skills through hands-on experience. He later worked at Devon House, where he helped prepare the famous Jamaican beef patties and pastries.
In May 2012, Kevin moved to Chicago, Illinois, to pursue a better life while living with his mother. After relocating to the United States, he worked at Whole Foods Market in Northfield, Illinois, where his dedication and leadership earned him the position of Team Leader. He later worked as a packer at Amazon's fulfillment center in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
On November 19, 2016, Kevin married Taydean Clarke. Together they welcomed their beloved son, Nasim, on February 12, 2020. Kevin treasured being a father and found his greatest joy in spending time with his son.
Kevin will always be remembered for his joyful spirit, ambition, practical wisdom, and generous heart. He had a special gift for encouraging others, solving problems, and bringing hope wherever he went. His life touched many, and his memory will forever remain a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
