Paul Everett Miller, age 75, of Skokie, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 26, 1949, in Augusta, Arkansas, the fourth child of the union between William Joyce Miller and Alpha Leola Fraser.
Paul attended grammar school and high school in Augusta before being drafted into the U.S. Army, where he proudly served in the Vietnam War and attained the rank of Specialist 5th Class. After his service, Paul pursued higher education at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
During his college years, Paul met the love of his life, Georgetta Keesee. The two were married on February 14, 1976, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Chicago. Together, they built a loving life and family.
Paul worked as an accountant for various businesses in the Chicago area. However, it was his passion for music that truly defined him. His remarkable ability to memorize music easily brought him joy and fulfillment. Paul was a dedicated and enthusiastic member of the choir at Carter-Westminster Presbyterian Church in Skokie, where the family are long-time members.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Georgetta; a son, William George Miller of Skokie; a brother, William Carol Miller; sisters, the late Mary, June (Harold) Smith, and Claire (Tim) Roland, all of Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews. His love for his family, devotion to his faith, and musical talents will forever be remembered.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, from Noon until the memorial service at 1:00 P.M. Rev. Stuart Barnes Jamieson will officiate. Inurnment and military honors will follow at Fort Sheridan National Cemetery in Highwood, IL at 2:00 P.M.
