Paul David Sherwood was born on January 30th 1947 to the union of Joseph Franklin Sherwood and Ruth Naomi (Wood) Sherwood. Paul was born at Evanston Hospital, on the coldest night of January 1947. Paul lived most of his life in the Chicagoland area, where he received an associates degree from Oakton Community College, when it actually was on Oakton. He attended Emmus Bible School when it was in Oak Park and truly loved studying Greek and Hebrew. He is survived by his beloved wife Pamela Sherwood, his loving sister June Ellen Sherwood (Nuremberg, Germany), and his Uncle Paul Sherwood, as well as his nieces and nephew, Lisa, Phillip, and Sophie.
For four years he was in the Army security Agency with top secret crypto, clearance, stationed in Ethiopia. This was when information traveled around the world by teletype.
An accomplished drummer, he was at times able to support himself with his music. But most times he worked office jobs to support his love of playing.
He had no children, but he had many friends and was always trying to prod people to grow spiritually. He took scripture memorization seriously, and often found things to speak about at the Lord's supper service, as he lived constantly in God's word and for Jesus.
Everyone who knew him was better off because of it.
