Pellegrino Tosi

Pellegrino Tosi, age 93 of Highwood passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at his home. Born March 15, 1932 in Palagano, Modena, Italy to the union of Angelino and Giuseppina (Ortonovi) Tosi. He served in the Italian Army and married Emelia Cinqui and started their family.  In 1967 with his family they immigrated to Highwood where they made their home. Pellegrino was a member of the Highwood Bocce Ball Club and the Modenesa Society. He worked as a laborer for a plumbing company and after retirement he enjoyed gardening and raising animals, birds and chickens.  Survivors include his wife Emelia. 2 sons Mauro of Grayslake and Ivan of Highwood. 3 brothers Giuseppe, Dino and Adriano Tosi. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters Gelsomina and Giuliana Tosi and 2 brothers Alfonso and Lodovico Tosi.
